FAQs

Everything you need to know to manage your venue with Reebler.

Learn how Reebler protects your margin and handles transactions transparently.

1How does the new Direct Charges model work?

Unlike older platforms where your money goes through a middleman, Reebler uses Stripe Connect's Direct Charges architecture.
This means when a customer pays at their table using their phone, the money goes directly from their card to your restaurant's Stripe account. Reebler never holds your funds, allowing you to receive payouts much faster and safer.

2What are the processing fees?

Since the funds enter your connected account, you only assume the standard banking processing fee from Stripe. In Europe, this is typically 1.4% + €0.25 per successful transaction.
By not using an opaque proprietary gateway, you avoid hidden surcharges. Premium or international cards may have a slight surcharge globally set by Visa/MasterCard.

3And what is Reebler's commission?

We charge a small Platform Fee for maintaining the QR Menu technology and real-time kitchen syncing. This fee is automatically deducted during each transaction:
  • Starter Plan (Free): 1% per order.
  • Professional Plan: 0% per order.
  • Business Plan: 0% per order.
This fee is only charged if the customer pays digitally. Reebler is 100% free if your customer uses the QR just to view the menu and you charge them directly at the counter or in cash.

4The 'Digital Service Fee' allows zero cost

We built a tool so restaurants don't have to lose a single cent on digital payments: The Digital Service / Operational Fee.
This feature, which you can activate in your settings panel, lets you add a small automatic surcharge (e.g. +€0.40 or +€0.50) to the diner's bill as an 'Operational Cost'.

5The 'Minimum Threshold' for coffees

Since there is always a flat €0.25 Stripe fee on any card, processing very small payments (e.g. a €2.50 coffee) would mean the restaurant loses money percentage-wise.
Reebler includes a Card Minimum Threshold filter that you can set freely. If you set it to €5.00, customers whose bill doesn't reach five euros will receive a prompt: 'For amounts under €5, please order directly at the counter'. This protects your business.
If a table has mobile payment disabled, the customer can still use the digital menu and place orders, but they will not see the option to pay by card.

6Can I enable digital payment on specific tables only?

Yes. Reebler lets you enable or disable card payments selectively, table by table. This is very useful if, for example, you want to offer digital payment only on the terrace or in the self-service area, but not in the dining room or at the bar.
From the Tables & QRs section you can configure each table individually. Tables without payment enabled will continue to work normally as a digital menu + kitchen orders, but customers won't see the option to pay by card.
You can customize the name of the surcharge, and that concept is shown next to the amount so the customer is clearly informed in advance.

7Is Reebler a POS (Point of Sale) system?

No, Reebler is a digital order and payment management software, but it does not replace your legal or fiscal POS. We function as a complementary tool that streamlines order taking and table-side payments.
To simplify your accounting, Reebler generates a Daily Sales Summary that you can download or view from your dashboard. With this report, you can easily transfer the day's total revenue into your primary POS system in a grouped manner, meeting your tax obligations without doubling the work.
